Submission Guidelines

Authors should follow the LNCS format ( and submit their manuscripts in pdf via Easychair (

All accepted papers will be included in Springer proceedings of the conference. We solicit four types of papers:

– Long papers: Up to 12 pages, plus references. Long papers should describe unpublished, complete research.

– Short papers: Up to 6 pages, plus references. Short papers describe a comparative evaluation of existing works, a negative result, or consist of a survey or discussion paper.

– Poster and Demo papers: Up to 4 pages, plus references: Poster/Demo papers describe a small focused result, a negative result, or a late-breaking result, or a description of a system that can be demonstrated on-site at the conference.

The programme committee may decide to accept some full papers as short papers or poster contributions.

The review process is single-blind, i.e. you do not need to anonymize your submission.

Please also note: We plan to publish extended versions of a selection of the best papers after the conference in the Data and Knowledge Engineering Journal as a special issue.

Accepted Papers

Authors should submit the camera-ready versions of their papers (PDF and source files), along with the signed copyright form by email to andre(dot) freitas (at) uni-passau (dot) de by April 6th, 2015. Authors should adhere to the LNCS format and the page limits.

At least one of the authors of the paper should registered by April 16th, 2015 in order for the paper to be included in the conference proceedings. At least one author should present their work at NLDB.
